HKUST Summer Institute offers a series of university-level introductory courses that are specially designed for senior secondary school students. Each course spans over 2 weeks (except Saturdays
and Sundays) and normally consists of 14 instructional hours (including any lectures, tutorials and labs) and a final assessment.

* 28 July and 11 August: Make-up classes will be held should there be cancelled lectures due to typhoons/rainstorms/etc.
^ Final Assessment can be in the format of an exam, individual/group projects or presentations, etc. as deemed appropriate by course instructors. In cases where a final assessment
is replaced by ongoing assessments throughout the course, instructors will notify students of the arrangement at the beginning of the course.
Venue:
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Clear Water Bay, Kowloon, Hong Kong
Class Times:
AM classes are 10:00am to 11:50am; PM classes are 2:00pm to 3:50pm.
Students can apply for any course as long as there is no scheduling conflict. Each student can study up to 4 courses throughout the program period.
Enrichment Activities:
Enrichment activities are optional and usually take place during lunch breaks.
Accommodation:
This is a non-residential program. On-campus accommodation will not be available.
Credits:
All HKUST Summer Institute courses are credit-bearing. Each course bears one credit and can be used towards the student’s undergraduate studies at HKUST in the future.
