Our Principle Designate By K.K.Chan

Eager to understand more about our designate principal, Mr. WAN
Pui-kwok, PKC PTA invited Dr. Law and Mr. Wan to join our monthly meeting on 31 May 2010. While rumour had it that Mr. Wan was an expert in “long jump”, we found that he was no athlete by any standards but intellectual and witty.

Indeed, before and after the meeting, we had searched wide for
everything about Mr. Wan. It's very pleased to report that our searches as well as our initial encounter with Mr. Wan could be summarized as below:

Friendly, cultured, sincere, Mr. Wan has the right balance between standing up for principles and the need for students' best interest. He is much liked and respected by his teams and students. Open and direct, he would come straight to the point. When asked why he applied for the job, he answered precisely that he saw the great potential of PKC. With the solid foundation paved by Dr. Law, he was eager to seize that moment to make PKC to do real good at long jump i.e. to make enormous strides.

For 14 odd years as principal, he has earned his reputation by his abiding interest in coaching his teaching staff in how to communicate with students that made sense to even old hands. Many of them not only understood the skills but also became infected with his love of students.

Based on this initial but direct contact with Mr. Wan, we have gathered
that he has the character and capability to measure up to this demanding job.

You may then approve that, similar to Dr. Law, he is more than a principal.
